How is everyone???

Haven't heard from anyone for a while :P I've been a bit of a recluse last couple of weeks. I've been really strict on practicing my linework lately and I finished it up over the weekend so I'm making works again. The first piece I did since then was a really neat Tattoo style sparrow for a friend. I'll post it up when I'm done with it ^_^ The 2 weeks off really helped out in my opinion. My hand has gotten a lot lighter (don't see how it could get any lighter, but it has) so the tone comes out a lot more when I color. Its hard to describe, the color comes out more... alive. Its not as flat looking like my early work.

One golden rule I made for myself in tattoo work is never completely saturate the area when your coloring. I like to let it gradually fade out from a dark, deeply shaded area to the light source. If you completely color the area in one color, to me it looks very childish and....well shitty! I hardly ever use just one type of color for one area. Now its like several colors in one spot most of the time.

My name is daniel. I've been drawing my whole life, and thats pretty much all my life consists of :D I OWN a coffee shop now that my parents used to run and I'm loving it. I think I might have found my place in the world, but I'm still working on it ^_^ I am absolutely mesmerized with the female body (not entirely lustrous ;P) since its so difficult for me to draw. My all time favorite manga series is Angel Sanctuary, it is what started my whole fascination with anime and artwork.

Wow that came out really neat. It reminds me of the old photographs taken in the 20s and 40s when they didnt' have color, so they painted the photographs. This has that same look to it :D
